Awash with places to eat, The local adds to the purpose of kalyan nagar. An outlet known for casual drinking and finger foods. It adorns with warm, rustic and cozy ambiance. Emanating vibes of an Irish pub. Wooden setup and English classic music soothes you in as soon as you reach. Might feel bit dark and dingy at start, but it will grow onto you. Music just enough to carry out your conversation and unwind.

The menu here gives you an option to choose from chettinad curry and bread stuff to pizza, quick bites and sizzlers. Drinks are moderately priced to cater all and craft beers certainly adds to the weight.

We started off with some finger foods and cocktails. A bond style martini, a peach ice tea accompanied with pesto chicken.

Tender pesto dressed chicken is the right appetizer to start with. Then, nachos loaded with chicken is something I like to start my meal as well. And glad to say, they were crispy ,baked and generous on cream and salsa.

Chicken steak:

Just another steak, with a cheese based sauce served on a bed of  mashed potatoes which looked like a bit too much.Steak was cooked just right with slight hint of lime and rosemary.  

Grilled fish:

Grilled basa served with salad and couscous with olive oil based sauce. No complaints for the fish, as it justified its texture by melting in mouth.

Old monk chicken: This is something new that we wanted to check. The prep felt like a sizzler and so it was. However the chicken had the hint of legendary old monk to it which made it stand out. This is something you might want to try too if you are open for something new.

We found no hiccups in service, whatsoever. And it certainly does justice to the place and vibe. Time spent here offers much respite to the tiered urban soul.
